Fibromyalgia Pain Reducing Techniques

Hi fibromyalgia (FM) Survivors!

Greetings to all who share living with daily chronic pain due to fibromyalgia.  Today I am sharing a little bit about my recent experiences. I continue to learn and apply new techniques to eliminate this condition that is passing through my body.

January and February, due to the cold winter weather in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, were challenging. I believe those of you living in very cold climates can relate to this.

But alas!  I have overcome!  You can too!  The following are methods I used with success that has helped me reduce pain and enjoy a higher quality of life on a daily basis:

1-  Stretching exercises are my lifeline.  I do them in bed every morning.

2-  Eating healthy food (even organic) has helped enormously! Get rid of the junk

food in your home. Crunch on a fresh carrot to reduce you need

      for crunchy food.

3- Since I began following the 2 steps above I have eliminated pounds of weight

and helps me become more flexible. That is a huge plus in itself!

4- Reducing stress reduces the number of daily severe fibromyalgia episodes.

I accomplish what I can in my current situation.

I have given myself permission to heal!

No complaining or feeling sorry for myself.  Life is too short.  Even if that means

only stretching and eating for the day. That’s what I accomplish.  I am grateful

to move my body parts. So yes, I needed time away from the computer so

no entry in January.  I continue to follow my health care providers instructions.

   We work together.

5-I ask questions to understand the process I am passing through!  I do

require medication. But discuss each one with my physicians.  I don’t

take meds just because my physician suggests them. I learn what the overall

treatment plan is and how a specific medication may help with the

process of  eliminating Fibromyalgia from my body.

I sincerely hope you consider these techniques and discuss them with your physician.

Your Friend,

Cheryl
